85 Years ago on December 13th, 1937 the Amanda-Clearcreek FFA was founded. 85 years later we are still going strong!!!

Facts

  • The A-C FFA Chapter has around 135 members.- This includes several graduates. This is over 1/4 of the high school student body, about 50/50 girls and boys.  This makes us one of the largest Chapters in the State of Ohio.

  • Students can take Ag classes and still be enrolled in all other college prep classes.

  • The A-C Ag. Ed. Department has had 17 Student Teachers from The Ohio State University complete their semester of teaching with us over the years.

  • Students do not have to come from a farm or work on a farm to be in Ag. Classes, 98% of our current members do not.

  • Numerous A-C FFA members have earned thousands of dollars in college scholarships from their involvement in the FFA. 

  • There have been many A-C FFA members that have been in the National Honor Society, over the past 20 years. The large majority of the  current members this year are FFA/Ag students.

  • Numerous A-C FFA Members have been valedictorians over the years. 

  • Students can be in the Band and also be an FFA Member.  

  • Students can play 3 sports per year, at the varsity level, and still be active in the FFA.

  • All FFA Activities that take place after school, except for the one FFA meeting a month and the Annual A-C FFA Banquet are encouraged, but completely optional.

  • There are currently approximately 43 freshman enrolled in an Ag. Class. 

  • A-C FFA Career Development Event contest teams have won STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS over 40 times.

  • A-C FFA Career Development Event contest teams have placed in the top 5 in the state of Ohio over 70 times.

  • A-C FFA CDE contest teams and individuals have placed in the top five in the nation 7 times.

  • A-C FFA CDE contest teams have placed in the top five in regional contests 5 times.

  • A-C FFA CDE contest teams have won a regional contest 3 times.

  • A-C FFA Members have placed in the top five in the state in individual CDE competitions over 40 times.

  • A-C FFA Members have won the state in individual CDE competitions over 20 times.

  • Over 150 A-C FFA Members have earned their State FFA Degrees.

  • As a Senior Ag Power/Capstone student you can earn a welding certification from the American Welding Society and become a certified welder.

    • In the past 4 years 39 students have earned their AWS welding certification.

  • Many former A-C FFA members have graduated from the following colleges and universities:
